Some Sound Advice

What do you do when you ride your bike to the south of town to buy model supplies from the German Home-Depot equivalent, to realize the piece of plastic you bought is a little big for your basket?

Well it's your lucky day, I'll show you.

Let your roommate (who so kindly accompanied you) tie the plastic to your back like a McGuyver backpack.

Strike a pose to appease the many passerby who are snickering at you.
Don't stop there, the camera needs to capture your better side. I'm channeling Agnes Dean in this picture. Can you tell I'm "smizing"?

Put on your fiercest game face, and get ready to brave wind and rain, all the while providing comic relief for cute little old men on bicycles who will make comments to you in German.

That wasn't so hard, now was it?

Prost!

Bike Skillz

It was only a couple weeks ago that I found my new riding companion, and it wasn't easy. Dessau is too small to find cheap bikes, so the other Americans and I took a little trip to Mauerpark Floh Markt (Wall-Park Flea Market) to find some! We were lucky enough to all come home with sweet road beauties. We've been riding dirty ever since.

Meanwhile, I've been practicing my bike moves! So far, I'm on "The One-Hander". I'll get better... I hope.
